Novos cursos em parceria com a International Academy of Film & Arts

A AIC Online traz o cinema internacional até você. Estude com alguns dos melhores profissionais do audiovisual que atuam nos Estados Unidos e em outras partes do mundo.

Estamos na contagem regressiva para o lançamento da primeira leva de cursos da International Academy of Film & Arts (IAFA), escola irmã da AIC nos Estados Unidos. A IAFA terá sede em Portland, OR, uma das cidades líderes da indústria criativa.

A IAFA oferecerá cursos online em seu catálogo, além de aulas e eventos especiais via streaming, a partir de diferentes cidades do mundo.

As aulas serão ministradas AO VIVO em inglês, seguindo a metodologia dos cursos online da AIC. Versões gravadas das aulas e a materiais de apoio podem ser acessados a qualquer hora durante a semana. Número reduzido de alunos por turma, interatividade, e contato direto com o instrutor, que dá feedback sobre os exercícios e projetos trabalhados no curso.

Os primeiros quatro cursos foram desenvolvidos com o público brasileiro em mente, como forma de estabelecer um intercâmbio cultural e profissional.

Directing for the Screen

4-week course

A series of practical strategies for directors on how to communicate with cast and crew in order to execute their vision and get the best results. Learn how to navigate every step of the filmmaking process, from script to the screen.

With Bertha Bay-Sa Pan, director of Face (co-written with Oscar-nominee Oren Moverman), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, went on to receive a number of awards and was a NY Times Critics’ Pick; and Almost Perfect, an Asia Pacific Arts 2011 Top Ten Film and HBO Emerging Filmmaker Award winner. Other credits include the Chinese superstar Leehom Wang’s 3D concert film Open Fire, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016.

 

Film Festival Strategy

2-week course

Understand the Film Festival landscape, how to manage your submissions and how to explore online distribution opportunities.

With Clementine Leger, the Festival Coordinator for the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. She has managed the Slamdance Film Festival from 2015-2017, and currently programs for Slamdance, Florida Film Festival and Channatoga Film Festival.

 

True Crime Documentary

4-week course

Get immersed into the popular genre of true-crime documentaries film and understand different themes, styles and creative approaches to developing your own film.

With Ram Devineni, producer of The Russian Woodpecker, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and nominated for an Independent Spirit Award, and director of the Netflix film The Karma Killings, about the Nithari serial murders in India, and The Hydra, about drug trafficking after the disintegration of the Soviet Union.

 

Scene Scoring for Film

4-week course

Study practices in film scoring and learn how to create the score for a dramatic scene using a Digital Audio Workstation – DAW.

With Erika M. Anderson, a producer, songwriter and composer known as EMA. She has released multiple albums to international critical acclaim and toured extensively across the US and Europe, including dates with Depeche Mode, Throbbing Gristle and Low. She scored the film #Horror (starring Chloe Sevigny), as well as theatrical works with performances at the Barbican Centre in London and PS1 MoMA in New York.
